- The Festival will be based at Shanghai’s Long Museum.
- There will be a virtual reality experience from Framestore, creators of Gravity
- The National Theatre’s life-size puppet horse Joey, from War Horse, will be on display and highlight the partnership between both countries’ National Theatres
- HSBC will offer a ‘dedicated zone to support human ambition and business creativity, featuring Business Surgeries for those looking to take their business further”. HSBC will also offer an ‘Ideas Exchange’ that will pair leading businesspeople (including Sir Martin Sorrell) together to share their ideas
- JLR will demonstrate how computer-aided design technology sits alongside traditional clay-modelling skills to design their vehicles
- PwC will offer digital masterclasses and a session for companies to test the ‘digital fitness’ of their own organisation
- De Montfort University will put its courses on display by offering interactive live footwear and clothes design demonstrations, a virtual walk-through of Medieval London, and insights into its health sector research
- BBC Worldwide will show visitors the UK technology used to make wildlife documentaries as well as BBC Earth hit series such as Penguins—Spy in the Huddle and Dolphins—Spy in the Pod
- The BFI will present archive film footage of life in China in the early 20th century
- BA and VisitBritain will host a ‘best of British’ garden party
- There will be the first viewing of ‘GREAT Creations’, a special exhibition bringing the variety of UK creativity to life—some of the features will include an unseen collection of the Queen, a model of No. 10 front door, a unique GREAT Mulberry handbag, a bespoke ‘GREAT Britain’ engraved handcrafted watch, etc.
