CBI member Aggreko recently announced the next phase of its continued expansion in mainland China with the opening of a new service centre in Foshan.
Located within the Gangbei Industrial Zone and covering an area of 5,300 square metres, the new facility will replace the existing operation in neighbouring Guangzhou that was established back in 2010. Since then, Aggreko's business in Guangdong Province and the surrounding region has witnessed substantial growth.
Moving to a significantly larger location will provide the capacity necessary to accommodate the level of business expansion in southern China.
Kelvin Lam, General Manager, Aggreko China, said, "Aggreko has chosen Foshan to be the hub of our business for southern China due to its strong and diverse industrial base and its convenient access to the other major industrial centres of the Pearl River Delta.
As we rapidly outgrew our facilities at Guangzhou, it was vital that we secured a strategic location that offered us the room to keep growing our business to continue serving our expanding customer base."
Debajit Das, Managing Director, Aggreko Asia, said, "The expansion of our operations in Guangdong Province represents an exciting step in the development of Aggreko's business in mainland China.
By increasing our local presence, we are continuing to invest in our ability to provide superior service to our customers."
