China Direct attended CBI Member Hays's annual presentation of their 2011 Salary Guide.
The Guide, which has been published annually for the last 30 years celebrated its third year in China today. It will be an indispensable tool for employers seeking to benchmark salaries for the year ahead.
Some headlines:
- China recorded the highest salary increases with 68% of employers raising salaries between 3-10% and 22% by more than 10%
- 78% of all respondents give their employees benefits in addition to salaries and bonuses
- Skill shortages, salary pressure, overseas recruitment and social media are amongst the top issues that will dominate the employment market in 2011
