UK-China Business Visit - further CBI member success stories

The UK-China Business visit of the UK Prime Minister David Cameron, five ministers and more than 50 companies, concluded in Beijing yesterday.

CBI member news announced during the 72 hour visit included:

Diageo is awaiting news of its application to increase its share from 43% to 53% in Sichuan vodka manufacturer Shui Jingfang.

Pearson announced plans to develop 50 new English schools across China.

Rolls Royce secured a GBP 750 million deal to supply its aero-engines to China Eastern airlines.

Scotch Whisky has obtained 'geographic indicator' status for its iconic Scotch Whisky labels in China.

Benoy architects announced three multi-million pound deals to provide planning and design expertise to China.
